Here is the list of major characters in Love Hina. It goes in order of appearance in the manga.
Urashima Keitaro Keitaro Urashima (浦島 景太郎) is a 20 year old ronin* who would do anything to get into Tokyo University. When he was five, he made a promise to a girl that they would go to Tokyo University together. He already failed the test twice, making him a second year ronin, so he decides to go to his grandmother's inn to study since his parents kicked him out of the house and he has no where to live basically. Keitaro isn't the brightest boy, he's bad at practically everything, but he could go to a lesser school and study there instead of wasting his time to get into Tokyo U. When he gets to the Hinata Lounge, he finds out that his grandmother isn't present. She went on a world tour seeking romance. >.< Now the lounge was turned into an all-girls dormitory and is ran by his 27 year old aunt, Haruka Urashima. Keitaro's grandmother sends a letter stating that Keitaro is the new owner of the Hinata Lodge and the girls have no choice but to let him safety. Narusegawa Naru Naru Narusegawa (成瀬川 名前) is a 17 year old senior in high school who lives in at the Hinata Lodge. She is the first girl Keitaro met when he was in the hot tub. ^.^ She too is studying to get into Tokyo U, and is extremely smart. Naru is in the top of her class, but her studying late at night with barely any sleep resulted to her bad eyesight. She has to wear these "coke bottle glasses" in order to see clearly. For two volumes, Keitaro was convinced that Naru was the girl he promised when he was younger, but she pointed out that she would of only been 2 at the time and she wouldn't be able to keep a promise like that. Konno Mitsune Mitsune Konno (紺野 みつね) also known as "Kitsune" is a 19 year old who boards at the Hinata Lodge. She has no steady job and didn't go to college. Most of the time she is looking to have fun. The aftermath? She ends up drunk. >>; But she can see that there's hope in the relationship between Keitaro and Naru. Sometimes she even meddles in, which normally ruins their "mood". >.< Urashima Haruka Haruka Urashima (浦島 はるか) is Keitaro's 27 year old aunt who runs the Hinata Lodge. She is no longer the caretaker since the the grandmother said that Keitaro is the new caretaker, but she still is around in the story. Aoyama Motoko Motoko Aoyama (青山 素子), a 15 year old junior high student, comes from a family of warriors up in the Shinmei Mountains. Her parents sent her to Tokyo so she can learn to use her mind, in otherwords, to go to school. She's an expert at kendo* and anytime poor Keitaro steps out of line, he's always being held with her sword to his neck. ^^; She's not very feminine and doesn't like the fact that Keitaro is living at the lodge. Koallo Su Su Koallo (カオラ スウ), a 13 year old foreign exchange student from some Asian country. She's very hyper and is very difficult person to deal with. Sometimes we see her with this virtual reality computer helmet that reveals information about someone. Maehara Shinobu Shinobu Maehara (前原 しのぶ), at the beginning of the series, is 12 but turns 13 at the end of volume 1. She's a very good cook and has a crush on Keitaro. She calls him "Urashima-sempai*." Otohime Mutsumi Mutsumi Otohime (乙姫 むっみ)is basically the female version of Keitaro. She's a three year ronin and she's a klutz. She suffers from anemia* so she is prone to fainting spells. She even carries around her final testament around with her just incase something can happen to her at anytime. She lives on a small volcanic island ^^; and is the one who game Tama to Keitaro and Naru. Noriyasu Seta Seta Noriyasu (瀬田 紀康) first started to tutor Naru when she moved into the lodge at 15 because she was a very bad student in the past. Because of him, Naru studies her ass off to impress him. McDougal Sara Sara McDougal (サラ マクドウガル) is Seta's preteen adopted daughter and is very attached to her father. Whenever Seta leaves her with Keitaro, she always gives him a hard time. Tama-chan Tama (卵ちゃん) is a hot springs turtle that Mutsumi found at the hot springs on the volcanic island she lives on and gave to Keitaro and Naru. When Su decides to cook him, Tama flies away, which shocks everyone. O.o Ronin- A student who didn't pass the college entrance exams. Kitsune- Japanese for "fox" Kendo- Japanese for "the way of the sword" -Sempai- Japanese suffix used to show great respect. Anemia- A medical condition where there's a low red blood cell count. Common symthom are fainting & dizzy spells.
