She fought demons by stealing their souls and purifing them.When she was battling demons for seven days and seven nights, the jewel came out of her body before she died, trapping the souls of those demons inside. The demon exterminators didn't know what to do with it, because it was much to powerful for them to handle. So, they gave it to a priestess named Kikyou.

A human that was thirsty for power. He was severly burned and was cared for by Kikyou, and feel in lover with her. Later on, he made demons take over his body and then became Naraku. He was jealous of Inuyasha for being with Kikyou, so he stirred up a plan to kill Inuyasha and Kikyou both.

Sango's only little brother. Kohaku was really young when it was his first time as a demon exterminator. But it was also his last. When a giant spider was near, all the exterminators went out to kill it. Then all of a sudden, all the exterminators died, except for Sango. He was being controlled by the spider and then was killed. Naraku played a dirty trick and placed a shikon jewel in his back to bring him back to life and to control him. Now Kohaku doesn't even remember is own sister and the demon exterminators.
Kirara

Kirara used to be Priestess Midoriku's pet before she died, but now is Sango's. In her normal form, she's a cute, cuddly cat. But she can transform into a very large demon that can fly and usually helps out the gang a lot.
Kouga

Age:Looks about 16...much older because he's a youkai
Race:Wolf Demon
He's the prince of the northern tribe or something like that. Kouga has two shikon jewel shards embedded in his leg and used to have one in his right arm. He's super fast and very powerful, but without the jewels, he would be nothing. He also has a crush on Kagome and wants to marry her. His wolfs are the ones that killled Rin.
Birds of Paradise

Race:bird demons, I guess..
The birds that have been killing of wolf demons in Kouga's tribe. They use their claws and teeth to attck people. One perticular bird had a jewel shard.
