Okay, before you start, many people argue with me that I'm wrong about the age, but sometimes I put the "appearance" age, and I know my numbers are right because I have the Inuyasha Character Encyclopedia. I don't want anymore e-mails or questions saying "Inuyasha's age is wrong! He's 18! Not 15!" He can be any age you want him to be, but I'm going by my book.

Inuyasha

Inuyasha is half dog demon,his mother was a human, and his father was a demon. From his childhood, kids would always torment him because he was half and half, so this is the reason why he's really stubborn, self-centered, overconfidant, and sometimes a little slow. 50 years ago, he met a pristess named Kikyo, who was the keeper of the Shikon no tama. Naraku tricked Inuyasha and Kikyo into betraying one another. So since Inuyasha pissed off Kikyo, she seals him to a tree. 50 years passed and a girl named Kagome frees Inuyasha from the sacred tree. Now Inuyasha is forced to accompany Kagome on their quest to find all of the jewel shards.
Personality: Since Inuyasha was picked on throughout most of his life, he doesn't trust people that easily and isn't too keen into helping others. He's kind of tactless, rude, self-centred, but can also be kind hearted, over protective, and very oblivious.
Higurashi Kagome

Kagome is from present day Japan. It was her 15th birthday, and she was off to school when her brother, Souta, said their cat went into the room where the Bone Eaters Well is kept. When Kagome goes in there, a centipede demon grabs her and takes her into Feudal Japan, that's when her adventure begins.
Personality: She's not like many anime heroines who are clutzes and act stupid, Kagome is a very intelligent girl and also has a lot of courage and strengh. Since she's in the feudal era a lot, she has trouble keeping up with her schoolwork, but manages to get it done. (I wish I had her brains -.-)
Shippou

Shippou is one of my favourites! He's very observant of other's antics and questions about a lot of stuff that he's "too young to understand." His father was killed by the thunder brothers, and he tried to steal the jewel shards from Inuyasha and Kagome, but failed. Now he follows Inuyasha and Kagome in search for the shards.
MMiroku

Haha, everbody's favourite perverted monk! We first meet Miroku in "The Mystical Hand Of The Amourous Monk Miroku." He kidnaps...well kinda...Kagome in order to steal her jewel shards. When Inuyasha goes and tries to get them back, we find out that Miroku has a hole in his hand. It's a curse Naraku had put on his grandfather and was passed on generations. When he uses his "wind tunnel," everything that gets sucked up goes into a void of no return. He asks every girl he meets (except Sango) to "bare his children," and when he asks this to Kagome, she freaks out and tells Inuyasha that he's bad and to kill him. :) We'll always see him peeking at the girls as they take a bath, flirting and asking girls if they can have his children for him, or just protecting his friends.

Sango is a demon exterminater, and from what I know is one of the best. She trys to kill Inuyasha when Naraku told her that it was him who helped kill the people in her village. Naraku now possesses her younger brother,Kohaku,who doesn't remember her because Naraku cleared his memory. Now Sango travels with Inuyasha and the gang to avenge the death of her family and frieds, and get her brother out of his possession.
Lady Kikyou

Occupation: Miko
Kikyou is the miko(pristess) who protected the Shikon no Tama. She has amazing holy powers, and his famous for her fantastoc archery. She cared for Onigumo, but when he let his body get taken over by demons. She was attacked by Naraku, and sealed Inuyasha to the sacred tree, thinking it was him who attacked her. She tolded her sister, Kaede, to burn her body with the Shikon no Tama. She was reborn from clay and Kagome's soul, and can not live without the souls of others.

*Sighs* Naraku,the man who basically pisses off everyone who he comes in contact with. He's very cowardly because he runs away everytime he's changelled in a fight with people he can not beat. Even though he may be a wimp, he's very sly, because he does come up with some devious traps.
Sesshoumaru

Hobbies: Searching For Naraku, Critising Inuyasha, and throwing rocks at Jaken
Occupation: Taiyoukai
Sesshoumaru is Inuyasha's older half-brother. They have the same father, but different mothers. Sesshoumaru hates Inuyasha because he is a hanyou(half demon). His father gave him the Tenseiga, which can save 100 lives in one swing. But Sess thinks it's useless. (He may be good looking, but he has a cold heart) Many times in the beginning of the series, Sess tries to kill Inuyasha for the Tetsusaiga. Since he's full youkai (demon), he can not touch the sword. Later on, he saves a little girl named Rin, who tried to help him when he was moderatly injured by the Tetsusaiga's attack. She was killed by Kouga's wolfs and Sess brought her back to life with his Tenseiga. Oh yeah, how could I forget, he travels with his servent, Jaken. *rolls eyes*
Personality: Sesshoumaru is a very hard character to analyze, especially since he doesn't talk much. He's unpredeictable, you can never tell what he's thinking. For some reason though, he has some hatred over humans. I think what sparked this was when Inutaisho courted with Izayoi. He's very calm, confident (sometimes maybe a little too overconfident), and VERY proud. No matter what emotion he's feeling, he always has a blank face. He only talks when he needs to, and when he does, it's not much. He doesn't say anything vaguely, his statements are always to the point.
Housing: There are many fan fictions with Sesshoumaru, Rin, and Jaken living in a big palace. Well, guess what, Sesshoumaru is homeless. He's pretty much a wanderer, like Inuyasha. That's why in episode #162, Jaken tells Rin that when Sesshoumaru is done with Naraku, he's going to start building his empire. He wouldn't build it if it were already built.

Occupation: Softening Sesshoumaru's Heart
The little girl that Sesshoumaru saves. Her parents were killed (forgot how though), so she lives in a village and is very poor. She finds the injured Sesshoumaru in the forest and brings him food, but tells her he doesn't eat human food. He tried to scare her away, but she always came to him, making sure he was ok. She stole food from a village to give to Sess, and got beaten up for it. When we first meet her, she barely talks, because of the shock of her parents dying. But when she travels with Sesshoumaru and Jaken, she starts talking again. She was killed by Kouga's wolfs, but then was resurrected by Sesshoumaru's sword.
Personality: For a small human girl, Rin is a very brave girl. She doesn't talk much at first, but being around Sesshoumaru and Jaken made her lighten up and happy again. In episode 162, she actually says she's afraid of humans more than youkai, because her whole family was killed by bandits for no reason. She cares for Sesshoumaru and Jaken a lot, she's always relieved when Sesshoumaru comes back from battle. Even when Jaken became sick, she went out to get the rare herbs by herself to save Jaken from him fatal illness.
Jaken

Occupation: Sesshoumaru's Retainer
Jaken is Sesshoumaru's servent. Unlike Myoga (Inuyasha's servent),he stays most of the time during Sess's battles. His only weapon is the Nintoujou,it has a woman's head and a man's head on it. It comes very useful to find stuff. When the man's head laugh's that means that the person is close to what they're looking for. If the woman's head screams, they're far. Kinda like the hot and cold game.
Past Life: Jaken was actually a ruler of ... a place. There were even a bunch of mini Jaken's surrounding him. ^^ He met Sesshoumaru when Sess just happened to pass by there one day.
