"Nothing amazing ever happens here" is how the main character Naota Nandaba (ナンダバ・ナオ太) describes his his hometown Mabase. Unknowningly, he is being watched ny Haruko and feels he is the lucky boy whom she is looking for. He gets ran over by her vespa and hits him in the head with her bass guitar. Later on when Naota recovers, he finds a horn appearing from the area where she had hit him. Apparently by hitting him with her bass, she had activated Naota's N.O. portal which allows him to pass physical objects from one universe to the area where he is present through his head.
Making matters worse for Naota, Haruko Haruhara (ハルハラ ハル子) has now taken up residence in his home and has been hired by his father as a live-in maid. We soon learn that Haruko is an investigator for the Galactic Space Patrol Brotherhood/Stellar Fraternity and is there to find out about them recoving Atomsk.
If that's not enough, he's constantly being watched and harrassed by Commander Amarao, who constantly tells him to watch Haruko because he says he's up to no good and doesn't care about the general well-being of the humans of Earth. His job, along with his assistant Lieutenant Kitsurubami, is to monitor Haruko and Medical Mechanica and protect the Earth from any conflicts between them.
