Naota is in class and him, Gaku, and Masashi were reading a gossip magazine. Miyaji. their teacher, sees them not paying and takes it from them notices it's referring to the scandal of Ninamori's father. Naota decides not to go to the play rehersal after school and finds Mamimi under the bridge. She removes his hat to find a pair of cat ears sprouting from his head. Mamimi looks at them indifferently and starts to play with them.
On his way home, Naota spots Ninamori and he tells her that she should ignore all the press over her father. A few moments later, Haruko is seen speeding down the street. She jumps off her Vespa to avoid running over a cat, which causes the Vespa to crash into Naota and he is shot straight at Ninamori. At the impact, they get locked into a kiss and Naota's N.O. is transferred to her. In the process, his hat gets knocked off and his cat-like ears are exposed.
Ninamori is then seen eating dinner at the Nandaba residence and Kamon insists that she stay at their home for the night. Naota isn't quite comfortable with the idea, but he did learn a few things about Ninamori such as her wearing "corrective lens" and that she rigged the votes of the play so she could have the lead. In school the next day, they get into an agrument and after Naota exposes her secret, she removes his hat, revealing the cat-like ears. At that split second, a large creature emerges from her head and with the help of curry and Haruko's guitar got rid of the monster.
