Mamimi is seen playing a video game named FireStarter and the objective is to go on a pyromaniacal spree to please the lord of Dark Flames, Cantide. The scene changes to Naota's house where the robot that came from Naota's head is running errands that Haruko should be doing as a house maid. When Mamimi stops by, she thinks he is Cantide from her game and dubs him the name "Canti". Haruko uses Canti to take x-rays of Naota's head and points out that his head is empty, which is the N.O. channel.



Unfortunately, an arsonist has been setting fires to many structures around Mabase. As Naota and his friends are talking, they remember something similar happened several years ago at an elementary school. (The same fire Tasuku saved Mamimi from.) When Naota is walking home from school, he sees Mamimi being bullied by some kids. He runs down to where she is and she drops her game to light a cigarette. When Naota takes a good look at the game, he realizes that it's Mamimi who is the arsonist causing the fires across town.



Naota goes to return the game to Mamimi and finds her sitting in a circle of buring cigarettes in an sttempt to summon Cantide. All of a sudden, a horn sprouts from the origin of the N.O. channel and it appears to be the remainder of the robot from episode one. It goes to attack Canti, who absorbs Naota when the robot was about to kill them all. Canti changes into its origional red colour and transforms into a cannon and shots at the Medical Mechanica robot and Haruko conveniently appears and finishes him off with a blow from her bass guitar.
